Stephen"s 2nd Birthday

Our little man is turning Two and he wants to celebrate with you!

Please com help us celebrate Stephen's 2nd Birthday!

This is a picture of Stephen's invitation.  Sorry for the poor

quality, but I wanted to be able to block some personal 

information so I could not post the pdf file.

Here is a clear picture of the photo we selected. 

We had lots of fun celebrating Stephen's second birthday.

We served lunch first, quesadillas, fajitas, rice and beans.
Angel takes credit for the food since he went to pick it up.

We had a variety of cup cake toppers. Some had Stephen's name,
his age "2" and his Monogram "S".  Others said
Our Little Man or Happy Birthday.

The entryway, the signs hanging said Welcome.

Most of the activities we did started with the letter "S".
We decorated Sacks with Stamps.

We  played Symphony music, the kids picked an instrument and
we marched around.  We also had a scavenger hunt for "S" objects.

 Victoria had fun even though she did not participate in the games.

We also made Snow (ice) cream.  The kids

stirred vanilla, snow, and Borden Eagle Brand

condensed milk with a spoon and made vanilla ice cream.

I decided to do this activity at the last minute

thanks to my friend Heidi who posted the recipe on

Facebook and mother nature for providing the snow.

Yes, I actually used snow.  I scooped up several bowls of fresh 

snow and put it in the freezer the morning of the party.

We had cupcakes for the kids and a pastel de tres leches for the adults.
a moist cake drenched with three different types of milk after is has
 baked.  Condensed milk, evaporated milk and regular milk.

Singing happy birthday to Stephen.

"Can I eat my cupcake now?"

Ummmm...

Very tasty.

Finally it was time to break the pinata.

This is the sturdiest pinata I have ever seen.

It was super sturdy for an adult and an impossible task for a kid.
All the kids hit it and barely made a dent.

I think this is  Ashton, one of our neighbors triplets.
I can never get their names straight.

After all the kids had a turn, Maddie's dad Derrick volunteered
to break it for the kids.  As you can see from his
 face, he is hitting it as hard as he could.

He hit it so hard that the stick broke.  He did make
a small hole in the pinata but no candy fell out.

Angel had to tear the pinata and pour out the candy.

Yasmine collected quite a bit of candy.

All the kids were filling their sacks except Stephen.
He was more interested in opening a candy to eat.

Almost done picking up all the candy.

We also had a beverage bucket and waters with Stephen's monogram.

These were the party favors.

When I was taking the picture of the favors Stephen wanted a cookie so
 I took a bite and gave him the rest .  Well, what do you think he did?
  He licked all the frosting off of it and wanted another.

Our precious boy, you are growing too fast. You have a great

personality and are very charismatic.  You are combing two

 and three words together.  You can inconsistently count to ten 

and are beginning to learn your colors.  You are full of energy

and are very loving to your sister.  You have a great memory.

You love music, singing and dancing.  You like singing the 

ABC song and many others.  We Love You so much!
