I has been six months since Javier has been gone and when I think
about him it is still sometimes hard to believe he is no longer here.
Since we live out of state, we have not been able to attend any
of the memorial ceremonies they have had in honor of Javier,
but we were able to visit a couple of the sights that have been
dedicated in his memory.
This pine tree and rock was put in the city of Orange Cove
where Javier grew up.
A memorial garden was planed in front of the Reedley Police Dep.
We also went to the cemetery to visit his grave.
This is the veterans memorial at the Reedley cemetery.
His grave (above) is just a few yards away.
