Christmas/Dia de los Reyes

We usually celebrate Christmas on New Years on my side of the

family since we are never home on Christmas.  However, this year

we celebrated it a week later on El Dia de Los Reyes (the day of the

three wise man).  In Mexico kids don't just get gifts on Christmas 

they also get a gift on El Dia de Los Reyes.

"Cheese"face, she knows she needs to do something with her

mouth, but does not know exactly what she should do.

holding in his hand is only about half of what

was in the bag.  love the way Victoria has her 

whole head in the bag :)

One of the gifts from my sister Veronica and her 

family was a guitar.   Stephen was SO excited!!!

Here he is in action!  As you can see from all the flashes,

he already has a fan base ;)

A tradition on El Dia de Los Reyes is to eat a rosca

 (a type of king cake).  When the cake is made the baker

places a plastic baby in it.  Everyone cuts their own slice

and whoever cuts into the baby is suppose to host a party

a few weeks later "El Dia de la Candelaria" and give

 tamales and also host the party the  year that follows.
