A couple of Saturdays ago we were invited to the Meza's
for lunch to celebrate Florencia's birthday.
Stephen had a blast being around so many ladies. As I type
he is over me looking at the pictures. I think we may be in trouble.
You really can't tell how much he enjoyed their company since
these pictures were taken with the cake right in front of him.
They say the way to a mans heat is through his stomach,
that may be the case with Stephen. The first picture
he is gazing at the cake with his tongue sticking out.
He was allowed to stick his finger in it. He loved the fresh
strawberries in the middle of the cake. It was a pastel
de tres leches, it was very tasty.
We then headed to my friend Hayde's for dinner. her son is
taking drum lessons and Stephen could not stay away.
Tonight Stephen got two plastic knives from the pantry and started
tapping them on the trash can. As I type he is tapping them
on me and an empty container. I think we may have a
future drummer, we shall see.
Rainforest Cafe
The next day we went shopping for Angel. Stephen was a trooper, but
he got tired after a few hours. To give him a break I thought it would
be a great idea to have lunch at the Rainforest Cafe so Stephen
could enjoy all the animals.
It would be perfect since he loves elephants...
and monkeys\gorillas
Well, it turned out to not be such a great idea. Stephen
got scared every time a rain storm came through and
all the animals started moving. He went from
Angel's side of the table to mine
From me back to Angel.
And from Angel back to me the whole time we were there.
He did smile when the lady made him this balloon caterpillar.
He was so happy to leave. Note to self: wait until a child is
old enough to enjoy and not be scared of the animatronic
robots of animals and insects at the Rainforest Cafe.
