We had an exciting a busy day on Friday and that is that my ultrasound
appointment got canceled. We now have to wait a few more days
to find out the sex of baby #2. We woke up to even more snow.
It literally snowed all day getting lots of big flakes throughout
the day. I did not measure, but they say we got a total of
12.5 inches all together. It was a lot of snow.

Stephen loved looking at the snow. Still today, the first thing
he did when I brought him down was point outside telling me
to look at the snow.
Stephen got his first haircut today by his daddy.
We love his curls, but they were geting all crazy
if we did not comb them down. These are a few
shots of how he looked right after. As you will
see him at his doctor's visit pictures, his curls
still get bigger once his hair is dry.

He learns very quickly, he is already getting the
hang of turning the corners.
Like I mentioned in my previous post. Stephen
was attempting to feed himself with a spoon and
fork. Well our neighbors got him utensils his
size and he is actually feeding himself. This
is his first attempt, very independent.
We then headed to the doctors office for Stephen's
12 month check-up. He got a shot and they did his
CBC test to check his iron. They made a cut in his finger
and squeeze a small vile of blood out. The nurse though
he was going to cry, but he did not even grimace. We thought
Stephen was a little slow in talking but the doctor said that
he is advanced in his language since they count signs as words
too. As you can see he signs potty for a diaper change. He
can also sign more, milk, finished\all gone and say mama,
papa, and bad. Yes, bad Angel tells our dog Mimi that
she is bad so now Stephen tells her too.

The doctor took a while to come and Stephen was
getting tired of sitting on the examination table, so
I put on his shoes and tried to video him walking,
although he really was not in the walking mood. He
has taken up to 14 steps so far on his own.
The doctor finally came in and told us the Stephen is
developing very well, although he found that he had
a double ear infection. Stephen is getting over what
we think was RSV. He had congestion, cough and a low
grade fever. We really noticed it the day after his B-day.
The doctor said it is common to see fluid in the ears after
being congested for a week. He said that as long as he is not
being fussy or does not have a fever we can just monitor him
without needing medication. But he did give us a prescription
in case we needed it. Stephen weighed 22.6 lbs. and is now slightly
below average for his weight (44%). but he continues to be above
average for his length, he is 30 1/2 inches (70%) and his head
circumference 18 1/2 inches (66%).
