Attempting to child proof

Recall this picture posted a few weeks ago?

Stephen kept coming back to play with the dirt in this plant

so Angel and I were determined to come up with a solution.

We cut out a cardboard to place in the pot to cover the dirt

so Stephen could not get to it. Our smart child went up to

the plant and found that Daddy had cut the center a little too

big. He stuck his fingers through the center hole and started

pulling out the dirt. You can see the look of victory in his face.

Daddy came up with a solution, so he thought. He got some

tape to cover up the hole in the center.

Stephen started picking at the tape.

Carefully analyzing the situation to make his next move.

Not only did he start pulling the tape off, but he also realized

that Daddy left a whole wedge on the side uncovered. So

he started sticking his other had in the dirt.

but finally giving up and removing it. He ended up lifting

the cardboard above the rim of the planter. Stephen played

around with it and pushed one side down and stuck

his hand in, but soon got tired and left it alone for the night.

He now on occasion will go and lift it up to play with the dirt.

You tell him not and he just jumps up smiling at you.
